A wide variety of guests is great for business.
One thing that I had always taken for granted at our guest house, until is was pointed out to me by other
accommodation owners, was that the Torbay Lodge benefits from such a wide mix of guests. The business is not therefore dependent on anyone type of guest and this has to be a major factor in why it has been a successful guest house for 50 years.
The Torbay Lodge benefits from being on all the accommodation listings for the NHS, education, emergency services and forestry commission. Dumfries is also the administrative centre for Dumfries and Galloway – so when someone comes from an interview they often contact us for accommodation.
