The vast majority of potential guests are looking for free private parking.
As well as a great town centre location the bed and breakfast benefits from exclusive free private parking.
The majority of bed and breakfasts, guest houses and hotels in Dumfries town have limited parking or even no parking available and their guests may have to park their cars on the street. From our experience, the vast majority of guests will seek out accommodation that provides free private parking.
This in turn is another major factor in our high level of repeat business.
To ensure more parking we are planning to have the car park marked March 2011.
Also because we are in the conservation area it is very unlikely that competing businesses will gain permission to convert garden space in to parking areas.
